Started in 2005 by our President Denise Hunter, the Back-to-School Giveaway and Health Fair has grown from serving a few hundred to more than 5,000 of South Los Angeles' neediest children and their families in 2009. With help from our sponsors and community healthcare partners, we were able to provide:

over 5,000 backpacks with school supplies
over 5,000 pairs of shoes
over 2,500 lunches
Diabetes, blood pressure, and asthma screenings
Healthcare education classes
Books, t-shirts, games and face painting for
    the kids to enjoy
5 computers and 10 bicycles in our FREE raffle

Everything is provided to the children and families at no charge. Experience why the families and volunteers come back year after year.
